To have the capacity to develop new skills showing integration of previous theoretical knowledge with knowledge and experience derived from practice. To develop an awareness and involvement in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme with support and guidance from the Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor. Personal responsibility to identify and highlight any areas of concerns regarding progress and development both clinical and theoretical before these become problematic. To be able to identify own areas of professional and personal development.
Professional Undertake Return to SCPHN Practice module to re-register on the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing part of the NMC register. Adhere to all NMC Standards for Conduct, Performance and Ethics. Maintain all aspects of patient/client confidentiality in line with Caldicott Principles Report absence and sickness appropriately and promptly to the University and following local process within the HCP service. Submit all expenses claim forms promptly To arrange regular clinical supervision with Practice Assessor/ professional Lead.
People Management Maintain own professional development to re-register on the NMC register. Research and Development Activity Required to undertake regular R&D activity as appropriate. Clinical and Practice Governance It is a condition of your employment that you are undertaking a Return to Practice module at a recognised Higher Education Institute to regain your SCPHN registration with the NMC. It is your responsibility to renew and maintain your professional registrations once your registration is activated on the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing part of the NMC register.
Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to any patient/family/staff/ records and information in line with the requirements of data protection law. Any data that is taken/shared as part of a phone call or transported, or transferred electronically must be undertaken with regard to the Trust Information Governance and Information Security policies. The post holder must adhere to the Trust risk assessment and risk management processes. The post holder must adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
Undertake mandatory training and any other training relevant to the role as required by Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust/Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust The post holder must participate in clinical and other audits as required. Participate in clinical and management supervision on a regular basis. The post holder is required to participate in relevant emergency preparedness process.
