Chief Executive Officer (Financial Expertise), West Midlands, Competitive Salary + Incentives + Benefits Our client, a prominent Steel Stockholder & Processor, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Executive Officer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading a dedicated team, crafting and executing strategic business initiatives, fostering relationships with suppliers and clients, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and propelling the company's growth and profitability. Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role with accountability for profit and loss, preferably as a Chief Executive Officer or General Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute effective business strategies.
  • A solid track record of driving growth and success.
  • Expertise in budget setting and management.
  • Proficient in establishing sales objectives and enhancing performance.
  • Skilled in managing relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Experience negotiating with major corporate clients and suppliers.

Essential Requirements:
  • ACA qualified – preferably with ICAEW Chartered Accountant status

  • Proficient in developing and implementing strategic business plans.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to cultivate professional relationships with business partners.
  • Experience at a managerial level or higher from leading accountancy firms such as PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or Grant Thornton. Industry-specific experience is not essential; intelligence and quick learning are prioritized.
  • Must reside in the UK and be within a reasonable commuting distance of Birmingham.
  • Sponsorship is not available; candidates must have full eligibility to work in the UK.
