Job Summary:

Moston is seeking a highly skilled Chief Commercial Officer to lead our commercial operations and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing change in accordance with NEC-based contracts related to the design of project works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Change Management process for design-related aspects of the main contract and subcontracts, ensuring timely issuance and response to formal contract notices.
  • Manage all aspects of change, including early warnings and compensation events, in close collaboration with the client and the contractor's supply chain.
  • Coordinate the communication of notices between the client and subcontractors as appropriate for the main contract and subcontracts.
  • Collaborate with planners, commercial managers, and QSs to forecast changes in time and cost, contributing to design program updates and cost forecasts.
  • Maintain a risk register related to contract changes, ensuring that all potential risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Prepare and assess quotations for Compensation Events under the main contract, supported by the technical team and project managers.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff, including apprentices, fostering their development and career progression.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written English skills, with strong skills in drafting contractual communications.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with web-based software, Excel, and databases.
  • Expertise in managing and reporting on commercial risk and opportunities.
