**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Leadership Specialist to join our team at Greenwich Health Ltd. As a UTC Streaming Clinician, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership and expertise within our department. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Physician Associates, and other specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the UTC patient case list to ensure efficient and safe care.
- Delegate tasks to staff on shift, providing effective leadership and guidance.
- Perform streaming safely and efficiently, assigning patients to the correct department and under the correct priority level.
- Provide a safe and efficient front door for patients and staff.
- Perform diagnostics, including ECGs, bloods, and urinalysis, to inform clinical decision-making.
- Provide reassurance to patients, families, and carers, and follow diagnostic and referral pathways.
- Communicate effectively with inter-professional teams for patient referrals and contribute to specific care guidelines and standards.
- Implement Health and Safety and Risk Management practices appropriate to the area of work.
- Deliver aspects of the Clinical Governance Agenda, following the direction of the Clinical Leadership.
Requirements:
- Recent post-registration experience in clinical assessment.
- Evidence of professional updating and up-to-date Basic Life Support Certification in Adult and Paediatric.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience and understanding of patient flow.
- Up-to-date BLS / ILS and Safeguarding Adults and children certifications.
- A proven ability to assess patients, demonstrate effective management and leadership skills, and work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle/manage difficult situations.
- Ability to use tools such as NEWS scores in the assessment of patients and work within clinical guidelines/algorithm to support clinical decision making.
