Job Overview
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assist the Executive Chef in ensuring the seamless operation of all culinary functions across multiple locations. This includes contributing to the creation of innovative hospitality and event menus.
To maintain high standards of culinary excellence across both the senior and preparatory schools.
To ensure that food production, quality, cost management, and menu planning are executed promptly, in alignment with the directives of the Executive and Head Chef.
To oversee the efficient operation of the kitchen section as required.
To support the Head Chef in managing food procurement and developing new culinary concepts.
To prepare, cook, and present dishes that meet the company's and clients' standards.
To enhance the company's reputation for outstanding food and service among clients and patrons.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
To guarantee that customers receive timely and efficient service, consistently surpassing their expectations.
To maintain a customer-centric approach at all times; being approachable and proactive in meeting customer needs.
To ensure all dishes are prepared, presented, and served according to company standards, employing creativity in presentation and service methods.
TEAM MANAGEMENT:
To foster the development of the kitchen team by empowering, supporting, and encouraging them while maintaining an 'open door' policy.
To inspire and lead by example, ensuring that you and your team enjoy their work and take pride in their contributions.
To treat your team with the respect and consideration you would expect in return.
HEALTH & SAFETY, FOOD SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY:
To ensure that the kitchen complies with all statutory and company regulations regarding Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental practices.
To ensure that all kitchen equipment is well-maintained and in proper working condition.
To promote safe working practices and report any equipment issues to the Executive or Head Chef.
To ensure that all company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to by all staff members.
To advocate for and support environmental improvement initiatives within the organization.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
To take charge of your professional development with guidance from the Head Chef and participate in relevant training opportunities.
To demonstrate commitment to the company's values in all aspects of your role and act as a positive representative of the organization.
To respond to any reasonable requests made by clients or management.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
GCSE level education or higher
NVQ qualification or equivalent
Strong foundational skills in culinary arts
Proven progressive experience in catering
Food Hygiene Certificate
A genuine passion for food and customer service
