Job Overview
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assist the Executive Chef in ensuring the seamless operation of all culinary functions across multiple locations. This includes collaborating on the creation of innovative hospitality and event menus.
To maintain high standards of culinary excellence across both the senior and preparatory schools.
To oversee food production, quality standards, budgeting, and menu development in accordance with the directives from the Executive and Head Chef.
To facilitate the efficient management of the kitchen section as required.
To support the Head Chef in managing food orders and conceptualizing new culinary ideas.
To prepare, cook, and present dishes that meet the expectations of both the company and the clientele.
To uphold the company’s reputation for outstanding food and service in the eyes of clients and customers.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
To guarantee that patrons receive prompt and exceptional service, consistently surpassing their expectations.
To maintain a customer-centric approach at all times; being approachable and responsive to fulfilling customer needs.
To ensure all dishes are prepared, presented, and served according to company standards, utilizing creativity in presentation and service style.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT:
To contribute to the growth of the kitchen team by empowering, supporting, and encouraging them while maintaining an 'open door' policy.
To inspire and lead by example, ensuring that both you and your team enjoy a positive work environment and take pride in your contributions.
To treat your team members with the respect you wish to receive.
HEALTH & SAFETY, FOOD SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY:
To ensure that the kitchen complies with all statutory and company regulations regarding Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental practices.
To ensure that all kitchen equipment is well-maintained and in optimal working condition.
To promote safe working practices and report any equipment issues to the Executive or Head Chef.
To ensure that all company protocols and operational guidelines are understood and adhered to by all staff members.
To advocate for and support environmental improvement initiatives within the business.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
To take initiative in your own professional development with guidance from the Head Chef and participate in identified training opportunities.
To demonstrate commitment to the company’s values in all aspects of your role and act as a positive representative of the organization.
To respond to any reasonable requests made by clients or management.

Qualifications
Essential Attainments:
GCSE level education or higher
NVQ qualification or equivalent
Strong foundational skills in culinary arts
Proven progressive experience in catering
Food Hygiene Certification
A genuine passion for food and customer service
