About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Manage a varied client portfolio, monitoring deadlines and budgets to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Onboarding and Training: Onboard new clients, ensuring best practices are implemented and providing training to junior staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Review bookkeeping and related workpapers prepared by junior staff, review VAT returns, and prepare management accounts to provide valuable insights to clients.
  • Relationship Building: Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships, dealing with day-to-day matters effectively and escalating complex queries to senior management.
  • Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior staff, including workflow management, reviewing work, and providing training to ensure their professional development.
  • Business Development: Support the firm's business development strategies, including networking and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Regularly review processes to implement more efficient ways of service delivery, setting an example as a hands-on and supportive Manager.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: ACCA / ACA qualified, part qualified, or studying. Qualified by experience also considered.
  • Experience: Proven track record of training junior staff is desirable, but not essential.
  • Skills: Adept at using accountancy software, technically competent across the Microsoft suite, and highly organized with excellent communication and advisory skills.
