About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Client Referral Advisor to join our team at Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and accurate client referral service to NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) Telephone and Referral Centre.

Main Responsibilities

As a Client Referral Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for the general public and health professionals, dealing with them in a sensitive and professional manner while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the client journey from point of referral to booked assessment
  • Working closely with Duty Therapist to ensure appropriate escalation when there is disclosure of risk-related issues by the client/caller
  • Ensuring that all relevant up-to-date client information is entered onto the appropriate database
  • Booking individuals into an assessment with a therapist where appropriate
  • Taking messages and ensuring these reach the appropriate member of staff using agreed procedures

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability and experience of working with a wide range of people
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail at all times
  • Commitment to valuing fair access and diversity
  • Flexible approach to working

Person Specification

  • Admin qualifications or evidence of continuing professional development
