Job Description

VANRATH is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Coordinator to join their team in Magherafelt. As a key member of the finance department, this role will be responsible for managing the sales and purchase ledgers, reconciling statements, recovering debts, and addressing queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and Verify Invoices: Accurately record supplier and subcontractor invoices in the company's computerized finance system, verifying pricing and quantity accuracy, disputing any discrepancies, requesting credit notes for overcharges, and logging receipts accordingly.
  • Cost Allocation and Reconciliation: Ensure that all costs are correctly allocated to the appropriate nominal account, project, or department, and reconcile supplier and subcontractor statements.
  • Payment Processing: Process payments to suppliers and subcontractors in accordance with scheduled payment dates.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate and complete records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly those related to Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work.
  • Customer and Supplier Support: Address customer and supplier queries promptly and professionally, and support fellow Accounts Administrators as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a finance department in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong data entry skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, and general IT literacy.
  • Qualifications: Part or fully qualified Accounting Technician (IATI) or equivalent experience, and experience with Sage 200 Accounts software.
