Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of road and drainage solutions for development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and environmental best practices.
  • Deliver designs within the specified timeline and budget.
  • Manage resource allocation to optimize team productivity on priority tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team on projects across various offices and disciplines.
  • Incorporate requirements from relevant Authorities and Statutory bodies into designs.
  • Review and authorize design information and reports, providing constructive feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to MCHW, DMRB, and local design guidelines in all designs.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team while exercising sound independent judgment.
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation, particularly CDM Regulations, and adopt a proactive risk management approach.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in Section 278 and Section 38 highway design projects.
  • Proficiency in highway drainage design and MicroDrainage software.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Proven track record in project management of highway projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising Highway Design staff.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of highways Technical documents within the DMRB.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D software.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in cost estimation.
  • Membership in a relevant Chartered Institute.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license.
