Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will spearhead the design and execution of road and drainage systems for development initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and environmental best practices. Your main duties will include:

  • Delivering designs within specified timelines and budget constraints;
  • Managing resource distribution to maximize team efficiency on priority tasks;
  • Collaborating with the Senior Management Team on cross-office projects;
  • Incorporating requirements from relevant Authorities and Statutory bodies into designs;
  • Reviewing and authorizing design documents and reports, providing constructive feedback;
  • Ensuring adherence to MCHW, DMRB, and local design guidelines;
  • Promoting innovation and continuous improvement within the team;
  • Upholding Health & Safety regulations, particularly CDM Regulations, while adopting a proactive risk management approach.

Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in Section 278 and Section 38 highway design projects;
  • Expertise in highway drainage design and proficiency in MicroDrainage software;
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams through varied workloads;
  • Proven track record in project management of highway initiatives;
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising Highway Design personnel;
  • Thorough understanding of highways Technical documents within the DMRB;
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D software.

Desirable Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • Experience in cost estimation;
  • Membership in a relevant Chartered Institute;
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license.
