Requirements for the Role:

  • We are seeking a candidate with a degree in a field related to earth sciences, such as geology or environmental science.
  • Proficiency in using computers for tasks such as data analysis and reporting is essential.
  • A valid driving license is required, as a company vehicle will be provided for work-related purposes.
  • While knowledge of geotechnical sampling and testing is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in environmental monitoring or a related field is advantageous but not compulsory.

Job Responsibilities:

The primary duties of this position involve assisting in environmental and geotechnical monitoring, sampling, as well as administrative and reporting tasks.

  • Conduct on-site collection of groundwater and surface water samples, ensuring accurate and timely data collection.
  • Operate sampling equipment effectively, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external parties for site access arrangements, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with testing laboratories for sample testing and supply of consumables, maintaining effective communication.
  • Handle data obtained from laboratories, analyzing and interpreting results to inform project decisions.
  • Manage other geotechnical monitoring tasks related to our projects, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Engage with clients as necessary, providing updates and insights on project progress.
