We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children, young people, and their families.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for completing detailed mental health assessments for young people, including the identification and management of risk factors. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, bringing a nursing perspective to the team and representing the service in meetings with other agencies. You will also contribute to a learning environment for student nurses and mentor students.
As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will maintain a caseload of young people, working in an evidence-based and time-limited way, including the use of outcome monitoring to measure progress and client satisfaction. Interventions may involve working individually with young people and their carers, as well as with families and groups. Sessions will take place at the team base and at other locations in the community, requiring flexibility and willingness to work in an agile way.

Requirements- RMN Post Registration Qualification to Degree level or equivalent.
- Relevant experience of working therapeutically with children/young people and their families.
- Experience of assessing and managing risk factors.
