Domestic Abuse Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domestic Abuse Advocate to join our team at Black Country Women's Aid. As a key member of our Community Domestic Violence and Abuse Support Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to victims of domestic abuse in Sandwell, Dudley, and Walsall.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a frontline service to victims of domestic abuse, working within a multi-agency framework to assess risk and provide tailored support plans. You will work closely with our team to empower clients to make informed choices and live a life free from abuse.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one and group work support to victims of domestic abuse
- Carry a caseload, including risk assessment, needs assessment, support planning, outcomes, and case review
- Work within a multi-agency framework, including the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and partner agencies
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working with victims/survivors of domestic abuse in one-to-one and group work settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and communities
