Job Overview
The primary role of the Ward Administrative Coordinator is to deliver comprehensive administrative and clerical assistance to the Ward. This includes executing designated tasks that contribute to an efficient clerical and computer service within the work area. The position requires accurate and timely data entry of patient information on a daily basis, along with providing a welcoming reception service for the Ward area.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the central point for administrative communications within the Ward, managing all telephone inquiries and personal visits, and directing patients as needed.
- Register, compile, and input all patient-held records into the computer system, including the collection and organization of in-patient documentation.
- Prepare necessary documentation from patient admission to discharge, ensuring that patient notes are properly filed and returned to medical records.
- Maintain patient notes on the ward in an orderly and systematic manner in accordance with Trust guidelines, including the filing of results and ensuring an adequate supply of relevant patient information leaflets and paperwork for staff use.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve errors and issues identified in the careflow error folder on a daily basis.
