Behaviour Support Assistant Role

Teaching Personnel is on the lookout for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young individuals facing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. This position is situated within a specialized educational environment, where you will be instrumental in providing vital assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they experience a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with a variety of Special Educational Needs.
  • Apply effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Collaborate with educators and the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to create tailored Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Offer individualized or small group support to help students reach their academic objectives.
  • Foster a nurturing and positive educational environment for all learners.
  • Promote the social and emotional growth of students.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with SEN is preferred.
  • Strong ability to engage and support learners effectively.
  • Graduates in Psychology or those with relevant qualifications are highly encouraged to apply.
