About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Information Officer to lead our Business Platforms team at WPP. As a key member of our Executive Committee, you will be responsible for driving the strategic roadmap and adoption of global enterprise platforms and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive Enterprise Technology strategy aligned with WPP's overall business objectives.
    • Oversee annual financial planning and budgeting for Enterprise technology, setting financial KPIs and milestones.
    • Co-develop the Enterprise Technology Investment Roadmap, monitoring investment impact and value.
  • Enterprise/ Business/ Corporate Platforms and Enterprise Architecture
    • Manage and oversee the enterprise-level view of platforms, services, and applications landscape across Enterprise Technology.
    • Work closely with Agency CIOs to create strategy for adoption of enterprise and business platforms across agencies.
    • Develop standards, best practices, policies, and processes for Enterprise Technology architecture.
  • Financial Planning & Management
    • Conduct annual financial planning for Corporate enterprise technology spend, global and functional targets.
    • Oversee business case spend and manage financial targets, driving value realization from respective platforms and initiatives.
    • Oversee assurance of Enterprise Technology risk and compliance for Corporate.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in large-scale roll-out of back-office technologies in big global organizations.
  • Strong ability to define target state org structure and implement a matrix structure of business platform leads.
  • Exec c-suite business partnering experience helping senior stakeholders to define and refine their technology and product strategy and roadmap.
  • Strong commercial acumen and drive to negotiate beneficial contractual terms with key partners.
