Job Summary:

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of Children and Family Worker. This position will be responsible for delivering children and family-focused spiritual programs within the Darlington Corps and local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational delivery of children's, family work, and spiritual programs within the Corps and local community.
  • Lead Christian worship in the context of children and family ministry.
  • Support the Corps Officer and Children's Ministry Team in delivering programs to celebrate children and family work.
  • Demonstrate a professional and caring manner when interacting with program participants.
  • Contribute to the planning and review processes for programs and activities.
  • Maintain close links to the community and any relevant external agencies.

Requirements:

  • A commitment to Christianity and a willingness to bring ministry to the community.
  • Experience of organizing community activities for a range of different program participants.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage your own workload to meet objectives.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, program participants, and external stakeholders.

This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practicing Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
