Private Family Finance Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced solicitor to join our Private Family Finance team at BHP Law. As a Private Family Finance Solicitor, you will handle a diverse caseload of complex and high-value financial matters arising from divorce and separation, including property, pensions, businesses, trusts, and international assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and represent clients on all aspects of private family finance law, including financial settlements, spousal maintenance, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes, and financial provision for children.
- Conduct client meetings, negotiations, and court hearings as required.
- Draft and review legal documents, such as statements of case, consent orders, financial disclosure documents, and correspondence.
- Liaise with other professionals, such as barristers, accountants, valuers, and experts, to obtain and present evidence and opinions.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in private family finance law.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all client matters and billings.
- Mentor and supervise junior members of staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge in the field.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in private family finance law.
- Be a member of Resolution (Accreditation will be desirable but not necessary).
- A proven track record of handling complex and mid to high-value financial cases, with excellent technical and analytical skills.
- A client-focused approach, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships and deliver high-quality service.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, both written and oral, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organisational abilities and a demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload.
- A collaborative and supportive attitude, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
