Endoscopy Training Program Coordinator

Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to spearhead the execution, upkeep, and enhancement of endoscopy training initiatives within the South East London region, in partnership with the South East London Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) and the London Endoscopy Training Academy (LETA). The incumbent will be tasked with responsibilities including strategic planning, reporting, training and course offerings, enhancing training accessibility, and broader strategic engagement with stakeholders.
The successful candidate must demonstrate effective leadership, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, fostering robust relationships and earning the trust of personnel at all levels within the South East London Acute Provider Collaborative, as well as senior stakeholders associated with NHS London and LETA, to ensure the advancement of endoscopy training in the region. A comprehensive understanding of endoscopy practices is essential, covering a wide range of areas such as JAG, JETS, GIRFT, AHSN, clinical protocols, NMC guidelines, and national best practices.
Main Responsibilities
The individual in this role will be accountable for identifying and executing specific and ongoing enhancement projects within their designated area or as requested.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading various projects, overseeing planning, daily execution, and performance management, while adapting plans as necessary to mitigate risks and address issues.
- Collaborating with Executive Directors and Senior Managers to ensure optimal staff experiences and service delivery in conjunction with the SEL APC and LETA.
- Supporting and developing training opportunities to enhance strategy, reporting, course offerings, access to training, and broader strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of interdependencies and achievement of objectives.
The specific projects and deliverables managed by the individual will evolve over time in response to the changing portfolio of work and organizational needs.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Criteria
- First-level registered Nurse with NMC revalidation standards.
- Endoscopy training: JAG certified clinical endoscopists or JETS workforce training Endo 1-3/equivalent.
- Leadership training and qualification in teaching and assessing in clinical practice.
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing, health, or management-related fields.
- A Master's level qualification or equivalent experience is preferred.

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel for analyzing and presenting complex quantitative data.
- Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated capability to plan over varying timeframes and adjust plans and resources as needed.
- Ability to work independently, providing specialized advice while adhering to tight and often changing deadlines.
