Position Overview

The Endoscopy Service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Endoscopy Clinical Educator to enhance our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and staff education within our state-of-the-art Endoscopy department.

Our JAG-accredited Endoscopy unit is experiencing significant growth, driven by recent advancements and expansions in our facilities. We are looking for an individual with a robust background in Endoscopy nursing, coupled with a passion for teaching and mentoring in clinical settings.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care, alongside a focus on professional development for staff members.

Key Responsibilities

Cultivate an effective educational atmosphere through coaching and professional development initiatives within the Endoscopy department, while also contributing to other clinical areas. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, thereby enhancing the overall patient experience. Serve as an expert practitioner and role model, promoting evidence-based practices and providing guidance and supervision to all staff, including those pursuing professional development. Partner with Endoscopy management to identify and address the training needs of the Endoscopy workforce. Design and implement educational programs that are sensitive to cultural diversity and tailored to meet the needs of all staff. Work alongside the Matron for Endoscopy and the Clinical Education Team to develop strategic initiatives and ensure educational objectives are met. Foster a supportive learning environment and act as a change agent with a strong focus on clinical excellence.

Registered Nurse status Degree in Nursing or a related field Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) or relevant short courses
