About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at the Mile End Early Diagnostic Centre (MEEDC). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting with procedures, and supervising a team of nurses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized holistic patient care to patients attending the endoscopy unit
  • Assist with endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound
  • Supervise and manage a team of nurses, including conducting staff appraisals, teaching, and support
  • Coordinate unit activities, including managing endoscopy lists and troubleshooting problems
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with at least 2 years' experience in endoscopy
  • Relevant courses and training in endoscopy
  • Experience in managing endoscopy lists and supervising a team of nurses
  • Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy and policy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
