Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join our Estate Services team at Islington Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular estate inspections and audits to ensure that cleaning and maintenance techniques meet best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular and ad hoc estate inspections, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with caretakers to ensure consistent cleaning techniques and provide training as needed
  • Test and facilitate the implementation of new cleaning equipment and technologies
  • Collect and analyze data on estate services, producing reports to inform decision-making
  • Identify and report communal repairs, working with contractors to ensure timely resolution
  • Assist in ordering and maintaining cleaning materials, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Liaise with housing staff and contractors to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Undertake a range of inspections and audits, including health and safety assessments
  • Assist in developing and implementing agreements and work schedules with contractors

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing assistance in social housing, with a focus on quality assurance and improvement
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural community, with a commitment to equality and dignity for all
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including health and safety regulations and good customer care practices
  • Ability to deliver high standards of caretaking and cleaning, with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Good communication and IT skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation, with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation
  • Ability to monitor services and identify training needs, with a commitment to continuous improvement
