Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Join Tensar International Limited as a Senior Financial Accountant and take on a challenging role that requires strong financial skills and international exposure.

Job Purpose:

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, compliance with financial regulations, and effective management of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  2. Taxation: Ensure accurate calculation, recording, and payment of taxes, including payroll taxes, VAT, and corporate taxes.
  3. Financial Operations: Manage and maintain financial systems, including ERP systems, and ensure effective reconciliation of sales, stock, and other balance sheet codes.
  4. International Exposure: Provide financial support to overseas offices, including the Eastern Hemisphere, and ensure compliance with international financial regulations.
  5. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
  6. Team Management: Manage and develop a team of financial professionals, including deputizing for the Financial Controller and Manager of Cash, AR, and AP.

Requirements:

  1. A levels or equivalent.
  2. Professional accounting qualification, CIMA/ACCA/ACA or similar, or part qualified.
  3. Previous experience in a similar role, including international exposure in accounting and reporting in various foreign currencies.
  4. High level of interpersonal skills to enable integration across all levels within the organization and external advisors.
  5. International exposure would be beneficial.
  6. Knowledge of US GAAP.
  7. Strong Excel skills.
  8. Proficiency in ERP systems, e.g. Sage L 500; implementation experience would be useful.
  9. Experience of consolidation packages, ideally Longview or MS Dynamics, would be advantageous.
