We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Tensar International Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting, compliance, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the Financial Controller to maintain and implement financial controls and processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.
  2. Manage taxation, including accurate calculation, recording, and payment of taxes, as well as upholding necessary filings.
  3. Reconcile sales, stock, and balance sheet codes, analyzing data and providing explanations for significant variances.
  4. Support the implementation of financial reporting systems upgrades and conversions from Sage to SAP.
  5. Conduct sales and gross margin analytical reviews, providing reports and support to Regional Directors as needed.
  6. Liaise with internal and external parties on matters concerning legal, HR, insurance, operating costs, and expenses management, GDPR, and general administrative support.
  7. Ensure timely completion of Tensar UK month-end reporting, feeding into the EH consolidation and CMC consolidation.
  8. Prepare UK GAAP statutory financial statements, including roll forwards of non-trading companies, and knowledge of US GAAP to FRS 102 conversion would be advantageous.
  9. Manage supplementary audit packs, analyzing data for footnotes in the Tensar corporation consolidated financial statements, including capitalized software, intangibles, and operating/capital leases.
  10. Support the team, deputizing for the Financial Controller or Manager of Cash, AR, and AP, and assist with Treasury, Cash Management, and Banking functions.
  11. Collaborate on annual budget and monthly forecasting, including operating expense, depreciation, and capital spend, and support Financial Controller and Regional Director, Continental Europe with ad hoc analysis.
Requirements:
  1. A levels or equivalent.
  2. Professional accounting qualification, CIMA/ACCA/ACA or similar, or part qualified.
  3. Previous experience in a similar role, including international exposure in accounting and reporting in various foreign currencies, handling currency transactions, and foreign bookkeeping.
  4. High level of interpersonal skills to enable integration across all levels within the organization and external advisors.
  5. International exposure would be beneficial.
  6. Knowledge of US GAAP.
  7. Strong Excel skills.
  8. Proficiency in ERP systems, e.g., Sage L 500, and implementation experience would be useful.
  9. Experience of consolidation packages, ideally Longview or MS Dynamics, would be advantageous.
  10. A second foreign European language would be beneficial.
  11. Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
