Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations in the UK office, ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining relationships with external auditors.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure alignment with SOX principles, including taxation and reconciliation of sales, stock, and balance sheet codes.
  • Provide analytical support for sales and gross margin review, and assist in the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
  • Liaise with external and internal parties on matters concerning R&D, legal, HR, insurance, and operating costs.
  • Responsible for timely completion of monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and reporting statements.
  • Manage intercompany balances and prepare month-end reporting statements and reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the preparation of UK GAAP statutory financial statements and roll forwards of non-trading dormant companies.
  • Ensure quarterly reporting is completed, including attestations and internal audit.
  • Review overseas entities' statutory financial statements and ensure timely completion.
  • Monthly cost reporting and liaison with managers on results to budget.
  • Deputise in the absence of the financial controller.
Requirements
  • Professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Previous experience in a similar role, including international exposure with accounting and reporting in various foreign currencies.
  • International exposure beneficial
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience of consolidation reporting packages
