About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Clerical Officer to join our team at Peterborough City Hospital. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to the Emergency Department and Ambulatory Care Unit.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with administrative processes and line management for three reception areas, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Update rotas and plan staff allocation to meet the needs of the service.
  • Validate data and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, internal and external agencies, and clients/patients.
Requirements
  • Numerate and literate, with Maths and English GCSE (Grade C or above), or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • NVQ level 2/3.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative without direct supervision, prioritizing and managing own workload.
  • Previous experience in an acute or emergency healthcare clerical environment.
