Orthoptist - Extended Role Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthoptist to join our team as an Extended Role Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day orthoptic clinics and services, as well as taking on extended roles within ophthalmology.
Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality orthoptic services as an autonomous practitioner, managing own clinical workload and clinics.
- Take part in extended roles within ophthalmology, utilizing Ophthalmic Practitioner Training (OPT) programs.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients referred to the Orthoptic service, including those with Paediatric visual disorders, ocular motility disorders, neuro-ophthalmology, and other ophthalmic conditions.
- Support in a managerial role, including management of sickness absence, reorganization of workload, and dealing with issues or complaints.
