Position Overview:
Mbi Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Child Welfare Specialist to join our team focused on safeguarding and care planning.


Flexible Work Arrangements:
In response to recent changes in work dynamics, our organization has adopted a flexible working model. While face-to-face interactions with children and families are essential, our specialists have the option to work remotely when not visiting clients.


Expense Reimbursement:
Our professionals are eligible to reclaim travel expenses incurred during client visits, excluding the commute from home to the office.


Service Overview:
The Child Welfare team engages with families and children who have transitioned from initial assessment services. This includes cases where children are under protective plans or are identified as needing additional support. Our primary goal is to minimize the necessity for high-level interventions while ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of families and children.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments in collaboration with children, parents, and relevant professionals.
  • Implement child protection protocols and procedures as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with families to reduce the likelihood of children entering care.
  • Engage with partner organizations to develop and deliver effective interventions.

Compliance and Reporting:
Adhere to established child protection guidelines by:

  • Preparing reports for case conferences and meetings.
  • Contributing to the care plans for children under the authority's supervision.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
