Are you a seasoned child welfare professional dedicated to positively impacting the lives of at-risk youth? This essential position centers on the coordination and enhancement of safety measures for children and adolescents vulnerable to extra-familial (contextual) dangers and those who may be absent from their homes or care settings.
Child Protection and Risk Assessment:
Collaborate closely with the Team Leader and Data Specialist to participate in strategic discussions, compile risk evaluations, and formulate detailed safety strategies for at-risk youth.
Engage with various stakeholders, including the Youth Offending Service, Law Enforcement (Gangs, Missing Persons, Child Sexual Exploitation, Child Criminal Exploitation), and the Rescue and Response Initiative, to ensure a comprehensive safeguarding framework.
Data and Intelligence Sharing:
Contribute to daily Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) meetings, offering critical insights and intelligence to facilitate the early detection and safeguarding of vulnerable youth.
Case Oversight:
Manage and support the orchestration of interventions for children and adolescents known to the team, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate assistance.
Guarantee that all youth identified as medium or high risk are presented and monitored through the MEGA panel, working in tandem with the Team Leader to track their progress and safety.
Required Qualifications:
A recognized qualification in social work and registration with the relevant professional body.
Professional Experience:
Extensive background in child protection, safeguarding, and working with youth at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation, Child Criminal Exploitation, or serious youth violence.
A sincere commitment to enhancing outcomes for vulnerable children and adolescents, with a proactive and resilient approach to challenging circumstances.
The ATLAS Team plays a vital role in the safeguarding of children and adolescents.Comprising a Team Leader, three Return Home Interview Officers, a Data Specialist, a Business Support Officer, and a CSE Intervention Worker, the team is devoted to identifying and mitigating risks associated with extra-familial harm.
By collaborating closely with key partners and contributing to the MASH intelligence framework, the team ensures early intervention and robust support systems are established.
