Head of Events Management

As the Head of Events, you will lead a team of 5 individuals, including 3 direct reports, to deliver exceptional service and event support for all New Wine events. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Line managing, training, and developing the events team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Motivating the team and building relationships with key stakeholders and partners to drive activity and performance.
- Setting goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and drive improvement.
- Coordinating with other departments to rethink processes and strategy to ensure seamless event delivery.
You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the New Wine events calendar to ensure events are planned in a coordinated manner. This will involve:
- Liaising with event leadership teams to determine the vision, goals, and requirements for each event.
- Setting up and chairing event planning meetings to ensure planning is on schedule and within budget.
- Supporting Event Managers in the planning and delivery of smaller events.
- Managing external consultants and professionals who support with event delivery.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and overseeing the production, delegate, and team experience on-site at any New Wine event. This will include:
- Managing the Production Project Manager, front desk service team, and back-office functions such as ticketing, accommodation, village allocation, telephone and email response, and volunteer team leader oversight and engagement.
