ROLE DESCRIPTION
Karnival is in the process of establishing a dedicated sales division, and the Head of Strategic Partnerships will be instrumental in constructing this team from the foundation up. This position will encompass leading the outbound sales initiatives, delivering comprehensive reporting, and utilizing data-driven strategies. You will harness your expertise to guide and motivate the team while directly reporting to the Managing Director.
Sales Initiatives
- Utilize your analytical capabilities to ensure a coherent alignment between strategy, opportunities, and their corresponding reporting.
- Establish best practice frameworks for the team, enhancing efficiency and maximizing business prospects.
- Oversee the national strategy and budget, setting clear objectives and ensuring timely reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the operations and events teams to promote shared insights, drive efficiencies, and optimize resource distribution.
Business Insights and Reporting
- Identify and develop reporting mechanisms to illustrate the Sales team's performance and return on investment.
- Provide critical insights into client performance, emphasizing opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Implement best practices in CRM and integrate key learnings, ensuring our offerings remain distinctive.
Team Leadership & Networking
- Lead with enthusiasm and strategic foresight, enhancing team performance and effectively delegating responsibilities.
- Represent Karnival at exhibitions and events, managing budget, strategy, and target-setting for key networking opportunities while supporting the team's annual objectives.
To Excel in This Role, You Should
- Possess significant experience in a senior sales capacity, preferably within the hospitality sector.
- Be proficient in all Microsoft applications.
- Exhibit an analytical mindset with a proactive approach, complemented by strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the market and competitor offerings, with a passion for sales supported by proven techniques.
- Thrive in high-pressure environments, maintaining a positive, solution-oriented perspective.
- Ideally, have prior experience as a Head of Sales/Business Development in a similar hospitality organization.
