About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SHEQ Advisor to join our team at Equal Resourcing Ltd. As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting and advising on all aspects of health and safety, environmental management, and wellbeing within our utility contractor clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to operational teams to ensure employees are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Guide and mentor junior members of the team to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Work with the Head of Department to develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and improve the SHEQ department.
  • Conduct site inspections and manage audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Review risk assessments and develop and deliver training sessions on health and safety, environmental, and wellbeing issues.
  • Internal and supply chain audits, producing reports based on findings.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions within the company.
  • Stay up-to-date with new legislation and regulations.
  • Produce reports on work, projects, and activities carried out.
Requirements
  • Must have experience within the construction or utilities sector.
  • Must have experience as a Senior SHEQ Advisor.
  • Hold a relevant degree.
  • NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma Occupational Health and Safety Management or NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
  • Hold an environmental qualification.
  • IOSH membership (CertIOSH).
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
