Commercial Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical and commercial evaluations of sales enquiries, ensuring that all relevant information is available.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide detailed quotations for tender submissions
- Liaise with suppliers in requesting quotations
- Work closely with in-house engineering disciplines and external resources to prepare robust documentation and costing estimates for proposals
- Work closely with the sales team and provide internal support to all sales-related activities
- Maintain accurate records of all tenders submitted, including associated documentation
- Generate new opportunities with new and existing customers, managing the opportunity through to completion
- Manage teams of technicians, sub-contractors, and other A&A employees to ensure work is carried out on time and safely
- Liaise with technicians and subcontractors to carry out site audits as and when required to ensure work is being undertaken to a high standard
- Compile Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to a high standard and fully compliant with relevant legislation
- Supervise specialist subcontractors to ensure the service provided is as per service level agreement; reporting any issues immediately and contributing to problem resolution
- Establish effective working rapport/partnership with key customers & suppliers, acquiring an in-depth knowledge of their respective products and services
- Experience working in a similar engineering environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, with internal and external clients
- Demonstrate keen commercial awareness and develop new business with clients at every opportunity
- Familiarity with OFTEC and the regulations surrounding fuel storage
- Health & Safety qualifications would be an advantage
- Ideally possess knowledge of fuel storage systems of various sizes and environments
- Computer literate in all Microsoft Office Applications
- Full clean UK driving licence
- The right to work in the UK is essential
