Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Autism Unlimited. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism, enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals we support, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Support individuals with autism to access community resources, engage in leisure activities, and participate in social events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support plans are in place.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual's care and support needs.

Requirements:

  • Hold a full driving license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Have experience working with individuals with autism or a related disability.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
