About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a key member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centered care and support.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring the needs of individuals are met.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Contribute to the management of risk and crisis situations, ensuring the safety of individuals and staff.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level.
  • Membership of the relevant Professional Body.
  • Evidence of recent professional development in an up-to-date portfolio.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Trust Strategy and policies relevant to the role.

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrates a knowledge of synergy with Trust vision, values, and behaviours.
  • Recent previous experience within a comparable role.
  • Student assessor.
