About the Role

Are you a certified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) seeking a fulfilling role within a supportive environment? At Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, we are dedicated to enhancing mental health services and making a significant impact in our community.

Your Responsibilities

As a PWP, you will:

  • Accept referrals following established protocols.
  • Conduct assessments and provide support for individuals experiencing common mental health issues, focusing on their recovery journey.
  • Engage in patient-centered discussions to identify areas for improvement and assess risks effectively.
  • Deliver a variety of evidence-based, low-intensity psychological treatments, including guided self-help and computerised CBT, through various mediums such as face-to-face and remote sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all clinical activities in accordance with service guidelines.

Clinical Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating the suitability of new referrals and directing clients as necessary.
  • Creating tailored treatment plans that address individual patient needs.
  • Adhering to activity contracts to minimize waiting times and ensure efficient treatment delivery.
  • Assessing and managing risks related to patient safety in line with established protocols.
  • Staying informed about advancements in mental health treatment.
