About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at Nuffield Health, where you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of psychological interventions and stepped care treatment in a private care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and support individuals with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
- Conduct patient-centered interviews to identify areas where the individual wishes to see change and/or recovery, and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
- Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to Nuffield Health's referral protocols, and refer clients on to relevant support agencies or back into the business to step-up the person's treatment to high intensity.
- Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to Nuffield Health and any regulations, and keep up to date on new recommendations and guidelines set by the Department of Health.
- Protect client confidentiality at all times, adhering to Nuffield Health's information governance guidelines policy.
- Stay aware of and keep up to date with advances in treatment for common mental health problems.
- Maintain accurate records of continuing professional development and stay up to date with specialist knowledge of latest theoretical and service delivery models.
