About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior User Researcher to join our team in the Social Security Programme Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and carrying out research activities with users to inform policy, proposition, service, content, and interaction design.

As a Senior User Researcher, you will lead on a range of qualitative and quantitative user research activities to support business and project needs. You will work closely with senior members of project teams to provide clear, actionable insights and support decision making.

You will be responsible for advocating for the value of user research by engaging colleagues and stakeholders who are new to user-centred design. You will also champion the inclusion of different types of users in appropriate research activities and advocate for accessibility, assisted digital, and inclusive research and design practices.

Key responsibilities include managing ethics documentation, data protection, and equalities impact assessments. You will also understand user-centred service design and delivery practices and help raise awareness of the social and technological context for government services.

We offer a competitive civil service salary and additional digital pay supplement of £5000 per year. You will also have access to a contributory pension package, generous leave allowance, and flexible working arrangements.
