About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Care Coordinator to join our Care and Support Team at Camphill Village Trust. As a Senior Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing autonomous assistance to individuals with learning disabilities to enhance their lives and fulfill their potential for independence, choice, inclusion, and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Organize Care and Support: Develop and implement person-centered care plans, ensuring that all needs assessments, support plans, and risk assessments are up-to-date and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure High-Quality Care and Support: Foster a culture of excellence in care and support, focusing on person-centered outcomes and delivering services within budget.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Supervise and direct support workers, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure they deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Liaise with social workers, family members, and other professionals to ensure a network of support around individuals is functioning effectively.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality: Work within organizational policies and procedures, promoting equality, diversity, and the rights of individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Personal and Professional Development: Undertake ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills, ensuring a deep understanding of our philosophy and values.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the social care sector, preferably supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage and develop others, and a willingness to challenge poor practice and promote best practice.
  • Personal Attributes: Passion for helping others live a fulfilling and interesting life, ability to use a variety of methods and styles when communicating with others, and a commitment to promoting mutual respect and positive interactions.
