In line with NHS Scotland's initiative to reduce the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours, effective from April 2024, this position reflects the new working hours. Please note that some service areas may require temporary adjustments to accommodate this change.

This is a fixed-term role for a duration of 2 years, with a standard shift pattern of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

An exciting opportunity exists for two skilled nurses to join the Beatson Clinical Research Facility, which plays a pivotal role in supporting cancer clinical research across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The facility's study portfolio encompasses early phase/translational, first-in-human, and phase I-III experimental and advanced therapy studies, addressing a wide array of adult solid and hematological malignancies.

These positions are integral to the research nursing framework, focusing on the provision of both direct and indirect patient care within our dedicated research teams.

We seek two experienced Registered General Nurses (RGNs) with a minimum of three years of post-registration experience, including at least two years in a cancer care environment, with specific expertise in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) delivery. Candidates must demonstrate relevant post-registration qualifications and experience in oncology. Essential skills include attention to detail, strong organizational and communication abilities, proficient IT skills, and a methodical approach to work. A proven capacity to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team is crucial.

The successful candidates will be stationed at the Beatson site, contributing to the early phase nursing team. These roles are fixed-term for two years, with potential for renewal.
