Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Full time

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde stands as one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing approximately 40,000 professionals across diverse clinical and non-clinical roles. Our commitment is to deliver comprehensive healthcare services, including acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care, to a population exceeding 1.15 million, and a broader reach of 2.2 million through our regional and national services.

In alignment with NHS Scotland's initiative, the full-time working week will transition from 37.5 to 37 hours per week, effective from April 2024, without any alteration in remuneration. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. The current advertisement and any subsequent employment offer will reflect these new working hours. However, it is important to note that not all service areas may implement the 37-hour workweek immediately, and temporary adjustments may require you to work up to an additional 30 minutes weekly until service rosters are updated.

This position is a fixed-term role lasting 2 years.

The working schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

An exciting opportunity has emerged for two skilled nurses to become part of the Beatson clinical trials team.

The Beatson Clinical Research Facility is an NHS establishment dedicated to supporting cancer clinical research across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The research portfolio encompasses early-phase/translational studies, first-in-human trials, and phase I-III experimental and advanced therapy studies, covering a wide array of adult solid and hematological malignancies.

These positions are integral to the research nursing framework supporting cancer research, with responsibilities including the provision of both direct and indirect patient care within the current research teams.

We seek two experienced Registered General Nurses (RGNs) with a minimum of three years of post-registration experience, including at least two years in a cancer-related setting, with proficiency in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) delivery. Evidence of relevant post-registration qualifications and experience in oncology is essential. Key attributes include attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in IT, and a methodical approach, along with a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. The successful candidates will be stationed at the Beatson site as part of the early-phase nursing team. These are fixed-term roles with potential for renewal.
