Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, with 2 years of experience in the cancer setting and expertise in SACT delivery. The successful candidate will join our research nursing infrastructure supporting cancer research and be responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care within our current research teams.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care in a research setting
- Collaborate with research teams to ensure smooth study delivery
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research protocols and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance research practices
- 3 years post-registration experience as an RGN
- 2 years experience in the cancer setting with SACT delivery expertise
- Post-registration qualification or relevant experience in cancer
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Good IT skills and a methodical approach
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
The post holder will be based at the Bone Marrow Transplant unit at the QEUH site. This is a 1-year fixed-term post with renewable options.

Working HoursNHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
