Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PowerBI Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying BI data solutions across our Professional Services business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data models and pipelines to support business intelligence and reporting.
  • Develop and deploy PowerBI dashboards and KPI scorecards to provide actionable insights.
  • Oversee and create complex tabular models, including SQL database development to store data in a manageable reporting format.
  • Use SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for larger data models, including complex DAX.
  • Conduct business analysis and requirements gathering with stakeholders to design the best technical solution.
  • Create automated sustainable reporting solutions and identify improvements in existing processes to enhance efficiency and tackle technical debt.
  • Monitor security in PowerBI and incorporate Row Level Security (RLS) into data models.
  • Create PowerBI Gateways, Workspaces, and Apps, ensuring appropriate access is applied.
  • Document processes, database models, and architecture plans.
  • Bring together multiple data sets into defined and sustainable solutions to deliver 'one source of truth' to the business.
  • Work closely with different teams across the business to improve data literacy and empower teams with the right tools, reports, and guidance to leverage insight and make better-informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with MS PowerBI & DAX.
  • Strong experience in SQL for querying, analysis, and optimization.
  • Experience using Microsoft Development (Visual Studio) tools to develop and manage database & BI projects.
  • Understanding of best practices to deliver compelling data visualizations & reports.
  • Understanding of industry-standard data warehousing modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of ETL using a variety of data sources.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of processes, data, and strategic priorities.
  • Ability to design solutions that meet user needs, allowing for design and ethics standards.
  • Experience in delivering products and establishing maintenance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • STEM preferred but experience above more essential.
  • PowerBI certifications preferred.
