This newly established role is a key strategic appointment, positioned within the Senior Leadership team, and will play a crucial role in driving organizational growth and change.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead asset management, maintenance, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory and legislative standards.
  • Collaborate across Property Services, Compliance, and Assets to enhance service delivery to clients.
  • Utilize insights and data to evolve services and make informed investment decisions regarding properties.
  • Ensure financial efficiency through meticulous budget management and procurement practices.


The daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Directing all facets of strategic asset management to guarantee high-quality and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Formulating investment strategies that optimize stock utilization, including comprehensive option appraisals based on qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Supervising the provision of responsive and high-performing repair services, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and effective contractor management.
  • Overseeing the annual maintenance and compliance services for stock investment.
  • Advancing the green strategy to minimize carbon emissions and retrofit properties to meet governmental objectives, maximizing grant opportunities through partnerships.
  • Managing relevant data through focused collection and thorough analysis to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Implementing and maintaining a contract management framework that ensures value for money.
  • Leading compliance with regulatory and health and safety standards, providing quality training and regular policy reviews.
  • Participating in board meetings and providing necessary information.
  • Fostering a culture of budget accountability and financial prudence through rigorous budget management.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on various initiatives, including risk management, performance assessment, and budget oversight.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a complex, regulated environment related to property and asset management.
  • Senior-level experience within a housing association or related sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen and expertise in budget management.
