As part of our ongoing commitment to employee well-being, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours, effective from April 2024, without any alteration in remuneration. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. It is important to note that while this change is forthcoming, certain service areas may not immediately implement the new working hours, necessitating potential temporary adjustments in your weekly schedule.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Specialist Clinical Technologist / Radiographer to become an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, focusing on Nuclear Medicine services in South Glasgow.

The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of specialized technical responsibilities, delivering direct patient care while ensuring the provision of a high-quality clinical service. Our South Glasgow department operates across multiple sites, managing a substantial workload of over 10,000 patient procedures annually. The services we provide encompass SPECT-CT scanning, non-imaging procedures, DXA, therapy, and a specialized NeuroSPECT scanning service.

Applicants should possess an Honours Degree (or equivalent knowledge and experience) in a relevant field, along with post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine. Peer-reviewed training in Nuclear Medicine, such as the IPEM Diploma in Clinical Technology (Nuclear Medicine) or an equivalent qualification, is essential. Candidates who have not yet obtained the IPEM Diploma may be considered for a position at a lower grade until they can demonstrate equivalence.
