Role Overview:

Capgemini Invent's Energy Transition and Utilities sector is the largest in our private portfolio, holding a leading brand position across all five subsectors (Nuclear, Water, Networks, Energy Retail, and Energy Transition). You will engage in high-profile, impactful projects that assist our clients in delivering scalable energy infrastructure to facilitate the UK's transition to a low-carbon, sustainable future.

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking an experienced senior leader with a background in asset-intensive industries, a robust business improvement skill set, and an understanding of how digitizing core asset management processes can minimize the total cost of ownership of major infrastructure assets while fulfilling shareholder commitments. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, creative designers, business consultants, industry experts, and technology specialists to help lead and grow a market-leading business.

We work in partnership with clients at all organizational levels and across all stages of the asset lifecycle to help them establish the essential foundations and capabilities necessary for successful capital project and asset operations. Starting with the end goal in mind, we combine deep industry insights with emerging technologies and methodologies to assist our clients in creating a digital workforce and more integrated operational approaches. We move swiftly from 'idea to action,' building confidence throughout the digital journey to help our clients successfully deliver critical energy infrastructure.

The Work:

Regardless of the project or client, your contributions will have a significant impact on society, businesses, and individuals. This work is both rewarding and diverse. You may engage in a wide variety of projects (some larger than others), allowing you to gain extensive experience in a short period.

Why This Role?

The energy sector is undergoing the most significant transformation in a generation to meet the demands of a low-carbon future. Organizations across the UK are investing substantial resources in operational and capital improvements, as well as digital transformation initiatives to fulfill these commitments. Given the scale of investment and the urgency to implement these capital enhancements, there is a strong emphasis from regulators, investors, and companies alike to enhance confidence and expedite the delivery of these programs on time, within budget, and with quality, safely.

Consequently, we are witnessing a notable increase in demand for our teams already collaborating with major utility organizations. We have established a successful track record of identifying, designing, and delivering cutting-edge enterprise-wide digital transformations that are adopted and integrated into our clients' operations, and we are looking to further strengthen our teams. Capgemini leverages extensive energy and utilities experience, a strong business improvement skill set, change management capabilities, technological understanding, and a highly collaborative approach.

As an Asset Management Consultant, you will assist business leaders and their teams at all organizational levels in shaping and driving their transformation journeys. We seek individuals who can serve as trusted partners, helping our clients enhance asset availability and reduce the total cost of their assets. The solutions we provide align strategic objectives with the tangible outcomes expected by shareholders. We bring this to life through the establishment of future organizations, new operational methodologies enabled by emerging technology and data.

You will support our clients in designing and developing solutions that digitize and optimize processes across the value chain, from engineering design to successful commissioning and handover to asset operations. You will be part of an experienced and adaptable project delivery team with real-world industry transformation experience, assisting clients in realizing benefits and transforming processes, operations, and behaviors that lead to improved efficiency, enhanced customer experience, and better business outcomes.

Key expectations for this role include:

Leading workstream teams. Owning and delivering workstreams within transformation programs. Managing client stakeholders. Defining client strategy, delivery roadmap, and investment case. You will assist in developing business cases for the deployment of asset technology solutions and support clients in making value-based scope decisions. Defining future business and organizational models while developing an integrated view of people, technology, and information impacts. Defining project scope and objectives, facilitating workshops to define and prioritize requirements, and agreeing on outcomes and program risks. Creating and supporting the development of workstream or project delivery plans.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your personal growth through activities that fall into the following categories:

Business Development – Leading or contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contributions, and client hosting at events. Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development. Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications, etc.

We'd Love to Meet Someone With:

A proven track record in an asset-intensive industry, including knowledge of asset and material management. A strong understanding of Asset Management and associated standards and policies, e.g., ISO 55000. Experience with at least one leading Enterprise Asset Management package. Experience in developing asset management capabilities within an organization and enhancing an organization's approach to asset management (e.g., introducing reliability-centered maintenance, GIS, mobility). Experience in developing strategies or business cases for asset optimization and improvement. Experience in identifying and analyzing business requirements and translating them into scalable solutions. Experience working in a consultancy or deploying internal improvement initiatives within an organization. An innovative mindset capable of converting complex business challenges into manageable change initiatives and driving outcomes. Currently employed in a major consulting firm, and/or in industry but with a consulting background. Proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organization and to garner support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions. Experience in proposition building and delivery.

Collaboration and Innovation:

We firmly believe in creating partnerships with our customers. Utilizing our Accelerated Solutions Environment (ASE), you will gain insights into the customer's needs and challenges, demonstrate innovative solutions, and swiftly resolve issues. This collaborative approach will help uncover unexpected solutions together.

Learning and Development:

There is an abundance of learning opportunities at Capgemini, with numerous avenues to explore. You will have unique training opportunities to leverage. Some of our consultants even have the chance to attend conferences at Les Fontaine (near Paris, France). Beyond dedicated training, everyone is encouraged to assist and support one another—collaboration is a core value across all our teams.

CSR:

We are also committed to leveraging technology for positive social impact. Our efforts focus on reducing our carbon footprint and enhancing access to a digital world for everyone. This commitment is serious; we have been recognized as one of the world's most ethical companies by the Ethisphere Institute for the tenth consecutive year. When you join Capgemini, you will become part of a team that prioritizes doing the right thing.

While you will have a flexible office base location, you must be adaptable regarding assignment locations, as these roles may involve periods away from home at short notice.
