Position: Fostering Social Worker

Location: Gloucester

Compensation: £35 per hour

Hoop Social Work is seeking to engage a qualified Social Worker with expertise in fostering to become a vital part of the Fostering Support Team. This role involves a flexible working arrangement and offers a competitive pay rate of £35 Umbrella per hour.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing support and supervision to foster carers to ensure high-quality care for vulnerable children in accordance with their care plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards and the National Minimum Standards for fostering.
  • Managing a caseload and conducting annual reviews of foster placements.
  • Assisting in the identification of suitable placements for children.
  • Participating in regular reflective supervision and engaging in opportunities for professional development.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and supportive team environment, contributing to the supervision of approximately 190 fostering households and facilitating training for foster carers.

Requirements:

  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one
  • Three years of professional references
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle
