Role Overview
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Growth Strategist focuses primarily on client acquisition and sales development. With ambitious annual sales targets, you will spend a significant amount of time in the field, attending meetings to identify, onboard, and cultivate new customer accounts.

You will devise your own strategies to pinpoint and engage potential end users, employing a mix of cold-calling and marketing initiatives, following up on leads, scheduling your own appointments, and critically, attending key meetings to discuss customer requirements and customize packaging solutions. You will be adept at preparing proposals and quotations, closing deals, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new clients. Realistic yet challenging sales growth targets will be set to motivate and reward a true sales 'hunter' who enjoys building and nurturing new customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a business plan for your designated territory to maximize sales while consistently delivering high standards of customer service and support. Employ a consultative approach with clients to tailor suitable solutions that meet their needs while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all packaging solutions and product offerings. Identify and pursue potential new clients, converting opportunities into increased business. Conduct cold calls as necessary within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of prospects. Engage with potential clients, building, maintaining, and leveraging your professional network. Recognize potential clients and their decision-makers within their organizations. Research and establish relationships with new clients. Plan and deliver sales presentations and pitches. Achieve assigned yearly and monthly sales targets. Maintain comprehensive sales administration, utilizing CRM (MS Dynamics) to track all leads, inquiries, and quotes.

Are You the Right Fit?

Please note that this position does not involve account management responsibilities, so it is essential to have the self-motivation, energy, determination, and resilience to engage in fieldwork, build a sales pipeline, and win over clients.

You may have a strong background in a similar sales development role and be able to showcase previous achievements. Alternatively, you might be an experienced salesperson who has gained valuable insights in business development and is eager to take on a more focused new business sales role. We are open-minded regarding experience levels, and salary will ultimately reflect your background. Our priority is to find the right character and personality with the essential traits for success. We have a proven track record of training and developing sales professionals, so you do not need to be the 'finished article' or have prior packaging experience.

What is crucial, however, is that you possess recent B2B field sales/customer-facing experience, can demonstrate a history of impressive performance, are willing to learn about our business and sector, and are comfortable with a more technical, solution-oriented sales approach. A valid UK driving license is essential, and you must reside within the Hampshire/Dorset area. Proficiency in CRM (Dynamics) and standard MS Office applications is also important.
