Position Overview

Client Relationship Manager

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a prominent global player in the alcoholic beverages sector. This organization boasts a collection of leading brands and is currently experiencing a robust growth trajectory.

To support this expansion, they are enhancing their On Trade sales division.

Field Based – South Coast Region

Compensation: Up to £38k + vehicle allowance + 10% performance bonus + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts to achieve and surpass targeted sales volume and revenue.
  • Enhance the distribution of the product range and accelerate sales growth within a varied customer base, establishing strong Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and Joint Marketing Plans (JMPs).
  • Differentiate the brand offerings by designing and implementing creative in-outlet promotions, ensuring maximum brand visibility.
  • Foster and cultivate relationships with key clients and stakeholders within the designated territory, positioning the company as the preferred supplier.
  • Provide training and support to in-outlet team members to ensure optimal service delivery and collaborate on innovative cocktail creations to boost sales.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the on-trade customer network.
  • Analyze and communicate insights regarding customer performance on a weekly and monthly basis, driving actionable strategies for growth.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with the supply team regarding promotions, activations, and distribution changes.
  • Collaborate across various functions within the UK operations and international teams.
  • Develop comprehensive product knowledge and stay informed about market trends in the alcoholic beverages sector.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales, marketing, or a related field within the on-trade sector.
  • Experience with beverage brands and their application in cocktails is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and ambitious individual with a proven track record of meeting targets and effectively managing a personal work schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and recommend strategic actions.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects while building strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Comfortable handling key accounts and establishing strong commercial partnerships.
  • Able to thrive with minimal supervision, demonstrating proactivity and adaptability in uncertain situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Genuine passion for spirits and wines.
